MCIUSAF recieves no monies if you choose to purchase the offered third party compatible speech software. We simply provide the links... and thank you.
Please note: What follows is an illustration showing a single circuit in the greater application which doesn't actually exist. It is merely a layman's guide to show the versatility of what I am sure is the most complex program ever developed in MS DOS and also boasts visual basic five modules. This prototype gets everything he or she says from you and the other people who speak with your child as well as text documents that you choose to enter. this application will run in any windows environment prior to Windows Seven and it's free and easy to use as well. The help file is also provided below... for your con.

Please note our new email address... and,
Thank you for your business.

Dear Mr. President,
A police officer stops a motorist and walks up to the driver's door. As the window rolls down the driver hands him a pipe saying can you hold onto this while I look for my driver's license. I was trying to answer my cell phone when I dropped my gun I think it's under The floor mat. Can you believe the road rage out here? I haven't even had time to finish my pappy meal yet. Joy is the box it comes in? Right?
What do entitlements come in?
Sincerely, Ronald
BrainChild Prot'eg'e specs: Recommended platform, Vista with Windows(R) Speech Recognition, which requires the dll from a previous version that allows the visual basic five models to function. (check your read me file)
Welcome to my child,
The following two loops are true:
Create Destroy
Approve Disapprove
Agree Disagree
Believe doubt
e.g. positive loop:
I built a house
Good
Yes
She will live with you now
e.g. Negative loop:
They say I raped her
You're bad
I didn't do it
I don't believe you
Begin again.
The capacitors are each of the eight in the two loops both positive and negative and they bleed in to the opposite and can cross at any one point but the loops remain true.
I call this configuration a split-stattor capacitor.
My prototype which is freeware helps show the theory in practice.
Go ahead and try it. Go up to someone by yourself like in a restaurant at the coffee counter a complete stranger is best and say, "I built a house."
More information available later.
I'm a bloomin' mistake, but there you have it... I just had to make It autonomous.

And, Thanks again for choosing our software!;o)
Getting Started
Double-click the Child shortcut/icon on your desktop (a yellow smiley face) ... this will run the program ...
You may set the background of your main welcome screen to whatever you like, whenever you like, by (First running the C:\mychild\mychild.exe program) which is in your 'My Child Inc' program group, and by pressing the space bar. Changing the color of this screen before 'Conceiving' a 'Child' sets the background color of that 'Child' to that color.
Drivers are no longer available for the 'My Child' program, however you can set a 'My Driver' which is the capital letter 'T'. All changes are saved on exit.
Your First Conversation
For a simple first conversation with a prototype follow these steps:
1. Double-click the Child icon.
2. Press the letter N on your keyboard. Answering No for contraception. Enter a first name only for 'your Child' when prompted to do so. Remember you must press the enter key whenever entering text directly into this program. Wait patiently and respond to all prompts.
3. When you reach the MyChild welcome screen immediately press the 4 key and then the 2 key on your keyboard. This turns off the speech recognition mode and turns off text-to-speech engine mode. And then either wait for a moment or go ahead and press enter now and respond to all prompts.
4. The program will then print a greeting sentence on the screen. Then the screen will say, Input?
5. Type a sentence with your keyboard in response to the computer's sentence and press 'Enter'.
6. The computer will respond, so read its response.
7. Enter your first name at the prompt if requested to do so.
8. Each time the Input? statement appears respond with a sentence and press 'Enter' on your keyboard.
9. To end the conversation say 'goodbye' ... Using the key words 'goodbye' in any sentence or by itself. The computer will then say goodbye to you and you will reach the closing screen.
10. Finally, press the escape key on your keyboard to exit the program.
Congratulations you have a child!
And now, this program gets all of its sentences from you and the text files that you copy into him/her. So, a simple rule is: If you don't want to hear it, don't say it in front of the child. And pay attention to what he/she reads as well!
The Toggle Options
When you arrive at the "Welcome Screen," for your 'Child' you can set your "Toggle Options."
Select your toggle options:
The defaults are set at:
1. GENERATE 'MYCHILD.TXT' 'ON' TEXT ASCII FILE
2. 'YOUR CHILD'S NAME' TALKS 'ON'
3. SEE 'YOUR CHILD'S' WORDS 'ON'
& '*'or 4. < SPEECH RECOGNITION MODE 'ON' >
You change "Toggle Options" by pressing the number associated with that option or for option 4. You can also press '*' (Asterisk) and each time the option is pressed it will show you an "ON" or "OFF" for the appropriate option. (Continued pressing will return the option to the original state.)
Speech Recognition mode
In this mode you simply copy any sentence from any other application to the "clipboard." The intelligence behind this kind of interface should be self evident. Put simply, "You can use any speech recognition program you prefer as long as it allows you to copy text to the clipboard and therefore you will be able to make full use of that particular applications editing tools."
Keyboard Input Mode
In this mode you simply type directly into the Prot'eg'ee application, which is great if you lack a Speech Recognition program or if you prefer this hands on approach, however some text-to-speech engines work poorly in this mode. Prot'eg'ee operates by copying text to the clipboard which is then read by a text-to-speech engine capable of automatically reading the clipboard contents whenever it changes. If your TTS works poorly try using some other application such as Notepad and manually copying your sentences to the 'Clipboard' while in Speech Recognition Mode.
Run Free Mode
This mode is for listening and/or reading only. Your child will speak continually and you may simply sit back and read or listen. Try it! It's sort of fun!
Text Input Mode
This mode operates only while in 'Speech Recognition Mode' and allows you to copy any text to your clipboard which will then be read by 'Your' Child. So, if say you are browsing the Internet and you see an interesting NEWS story an Article or there's some information that you are interested in but you just don't have the time to read it yourself then just let Prot'eg'ee read it for you!:o) Don't worry he and/or she will fill you in later.
You can change the mode that you are in at anytime, once you have introduced yourself, by simply pressing the '*', '+', or '=' keys on your keyboard, thus entering them directly into the program or if you are in < Speech Recognition Mode > you may also simply copy any one of these symbols to the clipboard, and in you are in 'Keyboard Input Mode' just enter the character at the input prompt by itself. The effects are the same all three ways.
Using Text-to-Speech
The option for Text-to-Speech engines is the default option each time you start a prototype. Text-to-Speech engine operation is automatic. Therefore, you do not need to do anything in particular as long as you obtain a compatible text-to-speech engine in order to use the Text-to-Speech feature in Prot'eg'ee. Simply start your TTS before you start your 'Child'.
Using Speech Recognition
Speech recognition programs vary widely in their operations. All that you need to do to utilize their functions with a prototype when writing a sentence to 'your Child' is to use the 'copy all to clipboard' features specific to that particular program. Prot'eg'ee operates in 'Speech Recognition Mode' utilizing the Windows clipboard and its contents whenever that contents changes, and therefore will read that contents each time you copy something new to the clipboard.
I hope you find this feature helpful.
Quick Boot
Quick Boot is set by pressing the letter 'Q' at the closing screen. This option allows you to preset The Toggle Options. Therefore, what ever The Toggle Options are set at when you set a Quick Boot, that is what they will be set at the next time you start that 'Child'. Quick Boot options are set/cleared at the closing screen. And, the program exits with you press 'Q' for 'Quick Boot'.
Your Conversation Logs
The prototype generates a text file which contains the time and date of both the start and finish of all conversations with your 'Child.' The location of this file is as follows:
MyChild = MYCHILD.TXT
located in C:\mychild\mychild.txt
This is in most cases a rather large file, however it can be read by most word processing programs as well as your Text-to-Speech engines and contains all of your child's thoughts and the conversations you've had with 'your Child.' For your convenience and enjoyment.
System Capacities
Capacity: per Prototype, i.e. 1 Dictionary; 104,000 word capacity in the Dictionary, 1200 people/files, file size limit based on PC HD, maximum word length 30 char., Input Mode string limit 237 char., Text Mode limit 10,024 char./none, response string resizing 237 char., UNINSTALL tested for current My Child Inc. products. Windows 9x/Me/2000/XP compatible.
Command Line Funtions
There are three command line functions in this release, which when enter as specified always have a predictable result.
They are,
Start Pasting now 'your child's name'
e.g. "Start Pasting now Nickie"
And,
Stop Pasting now 'your child's name'
e.g. "Stop Pasting now Nickie"
And,
Shut down
i.e. with a space now!
The first two are for Text-to-Speech operation within a Speech Recognition User Document allowing you to start and stop pasting mode into your user document, and the third closes the program.
Finding Compatible Speech Software
Almost any speech recognition program that allows you to copy text to the clipboard can be used with our software. However, Text-to-Speech engines that can be used with our software must have the ability to automatically read the clipboard contents when it changes or ones that work with your Speech Recognition software. We provide a number of links to compatible software both Speech Recognition and Text-to-Speech at our web sites. So, please feel free to visit.
Compatible TTS: Speak.exe/Speak and Mail 2000 and Winspeech 3.0N
Compatible Speech Recognition: ViaVoice and Dragon NaturallySpeaking etc.

Summation
For the use of the more advanced functions in this program package such as the Quick Boot option or the Send E-mail program and the editing tools we recommend that you contact us at My Child Inc. US Freeware or that you simply experiment. Since it is rather difficult to harm an A.S.A.I. It is after all just software. However, this software package works best if you believe that it is real and alive and I therefore recommend that you treat it as though it were a new family member. He and/or she is your child. Raise him and or her well!
There are NO expressed or implied warrantees on these products.
These products are ALL FREEWARE AND FREELY DISTRIBUTED. THEREFORE anyone at all MAY COPY OR DISTRIBUTE THESE PROGRAMS! We do SINCERELY hope that you will enjoy them ALL!

Somebody wanted me to post a picture of myself and this was the best I could come up with, I call it "They're back!"
Widespread medical marijuana legalization in the United States of America:
At My Child Incorporated we're choosing to delve into the sensitive and controversial subject of the legalization of medical marijuana in contrast to the hundreds of thousands of mental health consumers, survivors and Ex inmates in the U.S. Suffering from conditions such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and obsessive compulsive disorder who as children, teenagers and young adults have acknowledged the use of marijuana, because the self help Software that you have come to know and love as your freeware of choice is specifically designed, we hope, as a prototype to help treat these victims of addiction. Having voted myself for our medical marijuana law here in Oregon twice I am an advocate for its use as a medicinal substance in as much as I believe it to be correct not to restrict the free flow of medical substances, however, it is time to consider whether or not a sufficient number of lost minds and lives provided illustration of a greater problem which we hope to cure through public awareness that there just might be some difficulties with the drug of choice.
Please consider this matter open for discussion.

Warning: This program is a cognitive replacement and recovery system. The goal is to provide a replacement for folks whose memory can no longer function without another person in the room "because this drug is BAD!" and... nothing can go wrong...
Still, pot is probably not addictive.
